Getting Started
Come up with a theme – Is it a kids birthday with a rainbow and unicorn theme? Or is it a retirement party you’re planning with a blue and gold theme? This decision will help set the tone and help you make decisions throughout the planning process. We love to browse Pinterest for ideas, you can check out our pinned party ideas here. Once you have an idea of your theme you will have to choose the setting. Maybe it’s an outdoor party or you prefer to be indoors at a flexible venue. Based on the setting, you can start preparing your list!
Staying Organized
It is a wonderful thing when what started as a list comes to life, so keep that in mind as you detail your list. We love to use excel with specified column headers that also calls out the categories of the party. We provided an example list below.
Once you prepare your list and see the big picture you will have an idea of the full scope of the party and will be ready to get booking!
The details will come to you as you go. The biggest hurdle is researching and booking vendors, 1) to be sure they are reputable 2) to make sure they are available. Together we have selected a list of party vendors so that can skip step No. 1 and to save yourself hours of research! Once you’re vendors are booked, go down the list checking off as you go.
