What is your name?

Bridget Finder

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?

I have two boys with my husband, ages 17 and 26.

What is your favorite thing about the Sayville/Patchogue area?

The community, without question. I genuinely love the South Shore. Over the years, through sports, school events, and just showing up for each other, I have built some of my closest friendships here. My neighborhood specifically has become such a special part of my life. We have a book club, we look out for each other, and there is a closeness that I did not expect when we first moved here. My younger son has a boat and loves fishing, and honestly, there is no better place for that kind of life than right here.

Tell us about your business!

I am the owner of Ultimate Getaway Finder, a luxury travel advisory business specializing in couples travel, family vacations, multi-generational trips, group getaways, and girls trips. I work with busy people who want a beautifully planned trip without spending weeks researching it themselves. Whether that is a family journey through Italy, an all-inclusive beach vacation in the Caribbean or Mexico with three generations in tow, a long weekend escape for two while the grandparents take over, or a group trip built around a shared passion, I design trips that are thoughtful, personal, and completely tailored to the people taking them. My clients do not just get a booking. They get a trip that was built around them.

What inspired you to start your business?

I have always loved travel and the way a well-planned trip can completely change how you feel. I wanted to help other families and couples experience that, without the stress of figuring it all out on their own. The name says it all. Ultimate, because every trip should feel like it was made just for you. Getaway, because whether it is a long weekend or two weeks abroad, everyone deserves a real escape from the everyday. And Finder, because I will find the best trip and design it specifically for you. It also happens to be my last name, which felt like the universe giving me a sign that this was exactly what I was supposed to be doing.

What do you love most about your business?

The moment a client comes back and tells me the trip was everything they hoped for. I put a lot of thought and care into every itinerary, and knowing that someone felt that care while they were actually traveling is the best feeling. I also love the community side of group travel. I recently hosted a group trip to the Bahamas built around pickleball, and watching a group of people connect over a shared passion while relaxing in a beautiful place was something special. Pickleball is also a personal passion of mine, so planning that trip felt like two worlds coming together in the best way. I also plan girls trips every year with my own friends from high school, so I understand firsthand how much those trips mean and how much thought goes into making them feel right.

How has motherhood influenced your business journey?

Working hard and showing up for my family at the same time is just the only version of myself I have ever known. I have spent years as a school principal managing complex logistics, building relationships with families, and making sure everything runs smoothly for hundreds of students and staff. Being a mom made me better at all of it because it taught me what really matters to families and how much trust is involved when someone puts something important in your hands. That same mindset carries directly into my travel business. The skills are the same. The values are the same. I just show up the same way in both places.

What makes your business unique?

Honestly, my background. Running a school with 450 students and over 100 faculty members requires an extraordinary level of detail, logistics, relationship building, and accountability. Parents trust me with their children every single day. My travel clients trust me with their trips in the same way. I get to know them before I ever make a recommendation, I ask the right questions, and I make sure every detail is handled. I plan trips to Europe, the Caribbean, and Mexico, and every suggestion I make comes with a reason behind it. There is no guesswork. Just a well-designed trip built around the people taking it.

What advice would you give to another mom?

Be intentional about making memories, and do not wait for the perfect time. Some of our best family moments have happened on trips, whether it was our annual summer getaway with grandparents and cousins, a long weekend away with my husband while the grandparents had the boys, or a family adventure somewhere new. Travel does not have to be complicated. It just has to happen. And if planning feels overwhelming, that is exactly what I am here for.

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten from another mom?

Enjoy every stage because you will miss it when it is gone. Time moves fast, faster than anyone warns you. That advice stuck with me and honestly shaped the way I approach travel with my own family. Do not put the trip off until things slow down. Things do not slow down. Book it now while everyone is at the age they are right now, because that window closes before you are ready.

Anything else you would like to share?

If you have a trip on your list and it keeps getting pushed to the back burner, let’s change that. Whether you are dreaming about a family trip to Italy, a beach week with the whole extended family, a few days away with your partner while someone else handles the kids, or a girls trip with your closest friends, I would love to help you make it happen. As a mom who plans her own annual girls trip every year, I know exactly how much those getaways matter. Find me at ultimategetawayfinder.com or follow me at @ultimategetawayfinder on Instagram.
