How many kids do you have and what are their ages?

Jax, 2.5 years old. Loves to be outside, trucks and trains and has a goofy side! Maverick 1 year old. Loves his big brother, walks in the stroller and is a total cuddle-bug!

What are your favorite family activities in the area?

We love to be outside! Finding trails, parks and farms are our favorite! Suffolk County Farm is one we visit weekly. In the warm weather we also try to go to different farmers markets every weekend. Highly recommend Port Jeff and West Hampton! We love the Nesting Place for indoor classes and open play. It’s also a goal of ours to explore more local libraries! Longwood is our go-to and Middle Country too!

Tell us about your career and business?

I was a teacher for 7 years, turned SAHM + content creator on Instagram! My main focus is being a brand partner with Young Living – a health and wellness company! I love being able to help other moms and work from my phone when I have a few minutes.

Why did you decide to launch your business?

After deciding to stay at home with my kids, I needed a creative outlet. I love to help others and be social. I started sharing on social media things I was doing around the house and that’s when my Instagram really grew. I’ve made a lot of steps to work on low-tox living and quality products and foods in my home. As I’ve shared more and more I’ve grown an amazing community of mamas who are like minded. I get to be creative with DIYs and help other moms with their journeys too!

What is your advice for someone looking to start with oils?

Baby steps! You don’t need to own every single oil or switch every single item in your whole home out at once. Start with a “toolkit” of the most versatile oils that will help you in your day to day life. As you run out of a product in your home, swap it for a better choice. So on and so forth! I’m here to help make choices and work on budgets with you as well!

What motivates you?

Seeing the success other moms have with their families and homes! I love getting messages that their baby is sleeping through the night, or their sick toddler was able to stop coughing. There’s so many ways oils can help families – from colds, to ear aches, fevers, sleep, teething, lice, the list goes on!!

What is the best advice you can give another mom?

Hard doesn’t equal bad. Motherhood is the single best thing that ever happened to me but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. Hard days are bound to happen but they shouldn’t be overshadowed by the good ones! When you’re having a tough time, try to find the joy. Stop and hug your child. They may need it more than you know, you may need it more than you know. And when all else fails- fresh air resets the day for us so when I find my fuse is low, I’m getting short tempered or even yelling – we head outside! It’s amazing what a change it can bring about for everyone.
