We are SO excited to announce our partnership with Angela’s House Home Store! For those that are not familiar, Angela’s House is an incredible non-profit here on Long Island. Established in 1992, Angela’s House was founded on the mission to support medically frail children and their families. Today, Angela’s House operates three homes offering 24-hour nursing care and work with over 600 children a year. The organization provides local families with medical supplies, therapeutic equipment, assistive technology, counseling, advocacy, service coordination, and various other resources that are not otherwise funded. We were familiar with Angela’s House, but had NO idea they had created a unique means of supporting their programs: Angela’s House Home Store!
Angela’s House Home Store is an AMAZING place to donate AND shop at bargain prices. As a home improvement and retail outlet store, their proceeds support the programs of Angela’s House. Purchases made at Angela’s House Home Store benefit the Everyday Wishes Program, which assists children that are medically fragile and living in our local communities by approving grant requests, or wishes, for everything from specific specialized services, equipment, and/or other various supports that Medicaid and private insurance will not cover. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the store, and we were blown away by different items in every single aisle we walked down. Not only is the inventory vast, but the prices are truly a bargain. There was everything from dining room sets, patio furniture, doors, windows, full cabinet sets, couches, cribs, glassware, chairs/stools, mirrors, appliances including stoves, dryers, and microwaves, carpets (all new), lighting… we could go on. Some of the pieces are like new, while others are a DIYers dream.

We would definitely recommend stopping by before purchasing or having your contractor purchase items for home renovations! There is a large section of brand new tile and other materials that are a steal.

We were both kicking ourselves because we had each just painted a room in our house, and they have full cans of paint that were donated because they were excess or were considered “Oops colors” by the purchaser, and they sell them for a few dollars a can.
The best part? When you shop at Angela’s House Home Store, proceeds benefit the medically fragile children in our local community served via programs at Angela’s House! The even better part? Angela’s House Home Store makes the donation process INCREDIBLY easy! So much so, that they will come to YOU to pick up large items for free! Smaller items are accepted as donations by drop-off at the back of the store, but make sure the items are approved first. To start the donation process, e-mail [email protected].
