I have one daughter, who is 1.5 years old.
How long have you lived on Long Island? Where else have you lived?
I moved to Long Island less than a year ago! I’ve lived in Berlin, Germany most of my life but I also spent my gap year between Highschool and college in Sydney, Australia.
How did Minnime by Mery come about?
When I was pregnant with my daughter I made a couple of Pacifier Clips for my unborn daughter. I guess it was part of nesting to make something for her myself. A lot people asked me about them, mostly because the designs I came up with where different from what they’ve seen before. I kept making them for my daughter and friend’s babies. Then the owner of Long Island’s first zero waste store Simple Goood, Melanie, who is also my sister in law, said she’d like to sell my baby accessories! She helped me a lot, we worked hard and right now you can buy five different Minime by Mery products at Simple Good.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Being creative and connecting with other mom’s who are small business owners. We’re all in this together
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m full of surprises! Haha People are usually surprised I speak three languages fluently. I speak Polish, German and English and my daughter understands all of those languages already as well!
