Between Amazon deliveries, Holiday Cards you don’t know what to do with and the wrapping paper aftermath of Christmas morning- the Holiday’s can amount to a whole lot of GARBAGE. There are some ways to minimize your trash footprint this year and one of them will even earn you some free tacos (UH, YUM..)

Keep Islip Clean’s Card Recycling Drive

Donate your used cards (as long as there is no writing on the side opposite the cover) and your unused new cards to be repurposed or sent to soldiers and vets!

Seas Cartography & Swell Taco Presents Wrap Repurpose

Bring your used bubble wrap to Swell Taco in Babylon and get a free taco! The largest amount of bubble wrap wins a grand prize. 

Rules: Take a photo donating your wrap at Swell Taco Babylon and post it to your story tagging @Seas.cartography and @swelltaco. You must be following both accounts. Enter between 12/16-12/30 and winner will be chosen 12/31. One entry per person. An armful of bubble wrap is required per person.

Pay attention to the town’s recycling pick up calendar! Also, in case you are already wondering “what do I do with this Christmas Tree when New Year’s rolls around…?” You can place your (real) Christmas trees by the curb for pick up during one of the Town of Islip’s Unlimited Yard Waste Days in January outlined here on the recycling calendar.
